The member representing Arochukwu Ohafia Federal Constituency in the National Assembly, Chief Ibe Okwara Osonwa, has applauded the performance of Abia State Governor, Dr. Alex Otti in less than 100 days in office.
The lawmaker gave the commendation on Sunday in Ohafia while addressing newsmen during the dedication of Master Alexander Emetu, son of Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, the Deputy Governor of the state at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Amaekpu Ohafia.
He noted that the governor’s reform of the civil service was to make it effective and efficient, appealing to Abians to support the sanitization of the system.
He described the governor as a very focused and courageous leader who has taken steps to place Abia state in its rightful place among committee of states.
“Governor Alex Otti is a very focused and courageous leader who never left anyone in doubt as to his determination to deliver dividends democracy to the our people. I am appealing to Abians to support his reforms especially in the civil service to make it effective and efficient.
“I am happy with what he is doing so far. The payment of salaries, construction and repair of roads within the city centres, improved security, and also for restoring the dignity of Abia state. This is the time to unite irrespective of where you come from to support the current administration of Dr. Alex Otti and Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu.”
He promised to continue to press for the completion of the Arochukwu Ohafia federal road and other projects, through legislation and effective collaboration with the executive arm of government.
